SUBJECT: SCHOOL CLOSURE NOTICE
This is to advise you and serve
as notice pursuant to Merit System Rule WAC 357-31-330 (9) and Article 18.8 of
the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the State of Washington and the
Washington Federation of State Employees; you are being placed on leave without
pay status during the times listed below for the 2005/2006 school year. The leave without pay status is for the
customary winter holiday, spring break and summer closure of the
Winter Holiday -
Spring Break -
Summer Closure -
The breaks start after your last scheduled shift prior to the break and ends with your first scheduled shift following the break. If you have any questions about your particular shift, please ask your supervisor. You will be notified if it becomes necessary to change the above schedule.
Please be advised that pursuant to RCW 50.44.050 and 50.44.053, this notice:
A. Will result in a denial of unemployment benefits;
B. There is a possibility of retroactive benefits if you are not offered an opportunity to perform services in the second academic year or term; and
C. To be eligible for retroactive benefits, you must file a timely claim for benefits each week for which retroactive benefits would be sought.
